Did you know that 60% of a horse’s total body weight is made up of muscle?

A muscle is a band of fibers, which stretch and contract. Anytime a muscle is worked, it is subjected to “knotting up” which affects movement of the muscle.  These knots can cause the entire muscle to spasm and can range from mild to searing pain.

Humans can seek medical help, exercise, obtain medication, but a horse is entirely dependent on their human for help.

Healthy Horses equine sports massage therapy is non-invasive and is designed to relieve these muscles by providing a full-body massage to address over 25 muscle groups.

Lorie Garber is the President and founder of Healthy Horses, Inc.
