"Louise was left in a field as "payment" by a delinquent owner. We had no idea what the horse could do, what damage the previous owner had done. I started riding Louise last May while my horse was recuperating. Naturally athletic, jumping is easy for Louise, but trusting people was not. I took her training very slowly and deliberately. My trainer noted that the mare was not using her hind end as well as he'd like over the arc of the fence. I had Lorie from Healthy Horses start working with Louise and Lorie immediately noted soreness in her hips. We changed her shoeing to help give support and added in exercises to strengthen her hips. Louise is now showing in the 3'6" jumpers with the potential to do more - she's extremely happy and very confident."
